TWISTING
Twisting of pairs, trios and mini-harnesses are accomplished semi-automatically with the aid of a foot activated control that gives the operator the convenience of having both hands free to insert and withdraw wires. The operator merely inserts the wire ends into an air collet at the front of the machine and secures them into position by depressing the first stage foot switch. Depressing the second stage of the two stage foot switch then activates a counter controlled motor to complete the twisting operation with highly reliable accuracy.

WIRE HOLDING CLAMP 502
Optional remote air clamp holds the second ends of the wires during twisting, providing more consistent results and reducing operator fatigue. Clamp mounts remotely, and allows twisting of wires 4" to 180". Low pressure air cylinder compensates for wire takeup when twisting, and tension is adjustable with low-pressure air regulator. Toggle switch activates clamp head independent of twister. Available as single-head (502S) or dual-head (502D) models.

FOOTSWITCH ASSEMBLIES
Standard is "Type D" , a heavy-duty two stage footswitch with 7' cord to the twister machine. First stage activates wire-gripping adapter, second stage activates motor and starts the turns counter. Other footswitch configurations, with separated pedals, are available for twisting longer wires.

SPECIAL NOTES:
Model 2250 incorporates a variable-speed high-torque motor. Slow speeds (50 RPM) are used for short wires; higher speeds (up to 2250 RPM) for high production rates of longer wires. The programmable turns counter insures precise, accurate, repeatable twisting, regardless of motor speed. Reversing switch, cycle counter, and built-in air regulator are standard.

Electrical requirement is 120 VAC, 60Hz. Air supply should not exceed 60 PSI. For best results a filtered and dry air supply is recommended.
